Your first session is an opportunity for us to begin understanding your story, your goals, and what’s bringing you to therapy at this time. Many clients seek support for anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, self-esteem, or feeling disconnected from themselves.
Together, we’ll explore your experiences at a pace that feels comfortable and supportive. Sessions are collaborative and grounded, with attention to both emotional insight and nervous system regulation.
Whether meeting in person in Redondo Beach, at the beach through ocean therapy, or online anywhere in California, our goal is to help you feel safe, understood, and supported from the very beginning.

The length of therapy varies depending on your goals, needs, and the depth of work you’d like to explore. Some clients come for short-term support around anxiety, stress, or life transitions, while others choose longer-term therapy to work through trauma, attachment wounds, depression, or deeper emotional patterns.
Somatic and integrative therapy focuses on creating lasting change at the root level, not just temporary relief. We’ll regularly check in to ensure the work feels aligned and supportive of your growth. Therapy moves at your pace, and there is no fixed timeline.

Taylor Elyse Therapy is considered an out-of-network provider, meaning we do not bill insurance directly. However, we provide superbills that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.
Many clients with PPO plans receive partial reimbursement for therapy sessions, including somatic therapy and EMDR. We recommend contacting your insurance provider to learn more about your out-of-network mental health benefits.
Associate therapists may offer lower-fee options depending on availability.

Clients come to our practice for support with anxiety, depression, trauma, self esteem, relationship challenges, body image concerns, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm.
Many clients feel stuck in patterns such as overthinking, people pleasing, burnout, or disconnection from themselves. Our integrative approach, including EMDR, somatic therapy, and nervous system regulation, helps address these patterns at their root and supports meaningful, lasting change.
We work with teens, adults, and couples throughout Redondo Beach, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Palos Verdes, and the greater South Bay, as well as clients across California through virtual therapy. We also specialize in supporting highly sensitive individuals, athletes, and those seeking deeper emotional healing and transformation.

EMDR is a research supported therapy that helps the brain and nervous system process unresolved experiences that may continue to influence emotional patterns, anxiety, and trauma responses. Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR works directly with the nervous system to help shift patterns at their root.
EMDR is integrated into our somatic and nervous system based approach and can be especially helpful for trauma, anxiety, attachment wounds, and persistent emotional patterns.
You can learn more about EMDR therapy and how it is used in our practice here.

Yes. We offer secure virtual therapy sessions to clients throughout California. Online therapy allows you to engage in somatic and integrative therapy from the comfort of your own space, while still supporting meaningful and lasting change.
Virtual sessions are available with both Taylor Elyse and associate therapists and can be especially helpful for clients navigating anxiety, trauma, depression, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm.
Many clients find that virtual therapy provides the same depth, connection, and effectiveness as in person work, while offering greater flexibility and accessibility.

Traditional therapy often focuses primarily on thoughts, insight, and understanding patterns on a cognitive level. While insight is valuable, many emotional patterns, trauma responses, and attachment wounds are held within the nervous system and body.
My approach integrates somatic therapy, EMDR, and nervous system work to help shift patterns at their root. By working with both the mind and body, therapy supports deeper emotional processing, regulation, and lasting change rather than insight alone.
This work can be especially helpful for anxiety, trauma, depression, relationship patterns, and emotional experiences that continue to persist despite previous therapy. The goal is not only to understand patterns, but to support meaningful transformation, greater embodiment, and a more regulated and connected sense of self.
